Does it work with no signal? Yes. Zone boundaries, harvest statistics, seasons, draw data and legal light are all stored in the app and work with the phone in airplane mode. Only the current weather line needs a connection.
Why is the legal light different from the printed guide? The app calculates sunrise and sunset for your actual zone. The guide's table lists twelve fixed communities and is printed in daylight time year-round, so once daylight saving ends the printed numbers read an hour later than the sky does. When in doubt, be conservative and verify.
The map is blank. Check your connection the first time you open an area — map imagery streams from Apple or Google. Zone boundaries and colours are stored locally and will still draw.
Location isn't working. Settings → WMU Insights → Location → While Using the App. The app never requests background location.
Where did my pins go? Pins live only on your phone. They survive updates but not deleting the app.
The harvest statistics, draw results, season dates and land boundaries in this app all come from the Government of Alberta's published survey data and open mapping. The app presents that data — it does not produce it. If a figure looks wrong at source, the province is the right place to raise it. If the app is displaying something incorrectly, that one is mine, so do send it over.
